03 Diagnostic fee

Paid at intake, credited back when the repair is approved

All figures are estimates; a paid diagnostic is required before any firm price. The fee applies to the vehicle class, is charged when the car enters the bay, and is deducted from the repair order if you approve the work.

Crediting condition. The full fee is deducted from the final repair order when the approved work is carried out at the workshop that performed the diagnostic, within 14 calendar days of the estimate date. If you decline the repair, the diagnostic fee is not refunded. Warranty wording is set out under warranty terms.

04 Warranty terms

12 months or 20,000 km on labor, whichever comes first

Every repair order issued through the KOLO network carries a written labor warranty. The clock starts on the collection date printed on your repair order and runs for 12 months or 20,000 km, whichever you reach first. Parts are covered separately under the warranty given by the manufacturer or supplier of the part fitted.

Covered

  • Workmanship on every operation listed on the repair order, including removal and refitting of the parts we supplied.
  • Repeat faults that trace back to our diagnosis, adjustment, or assembly.
  • Replacement of a failed part we supplied, subject to the part supplier's own terms.

Named exclusions

  • Wear items: brake pads and discs, wipers, filters, belts, spark plugs, fluids, and other consumables.
  • Parts you supplied or bought elsewhere, even when we fitted them.
  • Damage from collision, misuse, overheating, track or competition use, or driving on after a warning appeared.
  • Repairs, tuning, or software changes carried out by a third party after our work.
  • Faults recorded as advisory on the order and not authorized for repair.

Claim procedure

  1. Contact the partner workshop that issued the repair order and quote the order number.
  2. Bring the vehicle in for a diagnostic visit. If the fault is confirmed as ours, that visit is not charged.
  3. Approved claims are reworked at no labor cost to you. If a part is at fault, we run the supplier claim.
  4. If you disagree with the outcome, ask for a written review. You receive a decision within 10 business days.

Each partner workshop is an independently owned business and issues the warranty in its own name, while KOLO coordinates claims across the network. Read the network disclosure. Full wording sits in the warranty policy, with the fee position in the diagnostic fee section.
